Back in the saddle?

Wow....here I am again, writing another "back in town" post. I think I've been on this computer less in the last three weeks than I have been since my sister and I had this really cool thing called WebTV. It really was cool....it was just verrrrrrrry slooooooooooooooowww.


We spent last weekend in beautiful Pentwater, MI and had a lovely time. I'll share some more pics with you in the next week or so, but here's a few to whet your whistle.

I'll check ya later. Or....since I'm in the middle of the third installment of Fifty Shades (which may be the real reason I'm neglecting my computer.....?), I'll just say......laters.

What's up?

Well, we have returned from our annual family beach bonanza. I missed my blog and reading blogs...we had verrrrry spotty wi-fi at the beach house, so it was both a welcome and not-so-welcome break from the internet. Sometimes it's good to step away a bit. : )

We had a nice time...unfortunately, I did an abysmal job at taking photos. I've really been trying to do a better job of documenting some of our family adventures and my camera never seemed to be near me when the opportunity presented itself.

We've got laundrying, bills and grocery store on the agenda today. My garden needs some attention and deadheading.

What is up, people?


I'll tell you what's up....I have a sore throat and a cold, so I've been a little pathetic lately. I had been super happy that we have not had too much sickness/germs around the house and I guess my karma turned. It's not completely awful.....just bad enough that you feel like shiz, but not bad enough to have to stay home from work. Bah. 


And by the end of the day, I sound a lot more froggy. Is that a word? Maybe the Mr. will think it is sexy.


My spirits were lifted, though, once I saw my guest posting over at The Blog Tap. You can check it out here. Just a little something on how I try to cook something good for you every now and then.


And if you haven't checked out the Tap, you should! It's a community to get to know other really cool bloggers. All of the peeps I have come to know there are all super-nice, friendly, welcoming and funny. : ) A can't-go-wrong combo.


I should take heart....we're supposed to get a bit of snow tonight and around these parts, that's all it takes for a school delay, much less a snow day. Maybe a morning of sleeping in a bit would be just what the dr. ordered for me and my stupid cold. Here's hoping. ; )

Hey-o.....I hope you all are having a fabulous week! It has been busy around here.....yesterday was our Sweetie's third birthday. I cannot believe it has been three years since our baby girl was born. She is a beautiful, smart and funny little girl and we are so, so blessed.

I've had two basketball games two nights in a row...before you go thinkin' that I'm some kind of coach, I'll preempt you and tell you that I am in charge of the pep band at our high school. Two nights in a row--especially when one of the nights is baby's birthday and I'm sad to be gone that evening--wears me out a bit. So.....I am glad that is past. And I have Friday and Monday off from school....yesss!

Article at Addicted2Decorating

Hello, friends.....I hope everyone is having a great week. It has been a long one here! I will be so excited to see Friday evening arrive. : ) We are having a beautiful stretch of weather here in southwestern Ohio and it looks to be sticking until mid-next week. Nothing like upper 70s and sunny!

I had some great news today and I am so excited about it! I've followed a blog called Addicted2Decorating for a while now and I love Kristi's posts, projects and pictures. She also hosts a weekly link party entitled "Addicts (not so) Anonymous"....the title makes me giggle each week!

Gotta love technology...

I've been a little MIA lately.....attributed mostly to school starting up and September being a really busy month in our family with two birthdays in the middle of it!

And.....our computer recently bit the dust and had to be replaced. Although it's really nice to have a new computer, we've been installing stuff and a wrench has been thrown in the works. I can't upload my pics the same way.

Arghhggh.

So, while I have some beautiful pics to go along with some lovely posts, they (and you) will just have to wait.

I'll be back...with a vengeance! : )
